a big one on my list and possibly the highest is "performance".... this could include power, handling, etc.....but all falls into performance.

I'd vote for that : )

I'd actually like to vote for a few of them. At the moment, my biggest criteria is size because my family is growing as we speak, and I am looking for a vehicle that can seat the most passengers and carry the most cargo at the same time. Of course, price and fuel economy are factors, too, and what kind of woman would I be if I wasn't concerned about features. You can never have too many cup holders, and I'm good with anything that makes a road trip with a two year old easier. Remote start, push button start, power opening/closing hatch, and the like would all be great bonuses, but would definitely not be deal breakers.

I think mine would have to be company reputation, performance, price, appearance, fuel efficiency, features, and safety in that order.

Great point "Company Reputation" is critical and not on the list above!
