seeing as the first Supras were actually "Celica Supra", you'd think the Celica might have gotten better once the Supra went away but apparently their intent for the Celica was to remain slow ; ) "looks fast"... anyone remember that ad ? :

It definitely shouldn't have been the fastest car in NFS: Underground 2. What was that all about? Necessity is the mother of all invention... and thus, the reverse donut was invented.

How much did the Celica retail for? I was under the impression that it was quite a cheap trolley?

About 17k with the base model and manual transmission. That was in 2005. They discontinued this after 2006. USA: Importing Asian Cars since 1957 but Asians since 1850

I remember when people were freaking about the Lexus LFA thinking it was a new Supra. Funny stuff. "It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, a wins a win."

FT-86 Bring it. Loved my '84 Celica, with early Starion wheels on it.

Although I have to say the 4 seat deal is crap. No way to fit 4 people in there the backseat is pure storage. In person though it looks even faster than it does in pictures.
